Plain, unsweetened yogurt has some of its lactose broken down during fermentation, making it easier to digest than milk, and its probiotics can support gut health, so a small amount is generally a fine treat. However, "sugar-free" yogurts sweetened with xylitol or those with chocolate or fruit syrup mix-ins are dangerous — always check the label and stick to small amounts of plain, unsweetened yogurt.

Symptoms

Diarrhea (if overeaten)
