Most adult dogs and cats produce less lactase after weaning, making them lactose intolerant. Drinking milk lets undigested lactose ferment in the gut, causing diarrhea, gas and bloating. It's also high in fat and calories, raising the risk of obesity and pancreatitis with regular use, so it's best avoided. Rabbits are herbivores never adapted to digest dairy and should not be given milk.
