Coconut flesh and milk are rich in oil — small amounts are usually fine, but larger amounts can cause vomiting, diarrhea and loose stools. Coconut water is especially high in potassium and best avoided, as it can contribute to hyperkalemia that affects heart function. Coconut oil can also irritate the digestive tract, so offer only small amounts and ideally check with your vet first.
