Almonds aren't chemically toxic to dogs or cats, but they're hard to digest and can pose a choking or intestinal obstruction risk. Their high fat content can cause vomiting, diarrhea and pancreatitis if overeaten, and salted or seasoned almonds add a risk of sodium ion poisoning — always avoid those.
